Electrical Engineering is the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Electrical Engineers study the uses of electricity and equipment for power generation and distribution. This dynamic field involves the design of electronic circuits and the development of systems such as aircraft autopilots and state-of-the-art computers. Micro-electronics, the manufacture and repair of products like computers, microwaves and control systems, also falls within the sphere of Electrical Engineering.
N3: Engineering studies, or a Senior Certificate, or NSC with Mathematics and Science.

Once you have completed National Certificate in Electrical Engineering N6 at Central Technical College, you will be equipped to apply for jobs in the following fields:
- Electrical Engineering
- Technical Instruments
- Design Engineering
- Power Electronics
- Appliance Manufacturing and Installation
On successful completion of the programme, you will receive a National Certification in Electrical Engineering.

All examinations are National Examinations, set and administered by the Department of Higher Education and Training. Certificates and diplomas are conferred by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
All qualifications are nationally recognised by industry and universities.
The programme duration is three years part time with two years in-service training and tuition is face to face. Programmes are offered on Saturdays.
Students may pursue further studies in the Engineering Faculty.
